CHILD: Back to School

Wrapping up the summer, the CHILD team prepared Backpacks with school supplies, a new outfit, new shoes, a new jacket, undies & socks for 49 children.  Today, the Saturday before school starts, all these have been picked up by grateful parents. 

It's time to go back to school! Those attending Nehalem Elementary School who are automatically enrolled in swimming lessons get new beach towels & swimsuits as well.  Each child also received a bag with toothpaste, toothbrushes, hand soap, bath soap & a water bottle.  Each family also received shampoo & conditioner. 

The CHILD team is so appreciative of the time & money people donated to individually pick out the desired outfits requested by each child.  (Spoiler alert--Bluey is the number one favorite this year!)  Our community is so incredibly generous!  

Hope everyone is looking forward to seeing & grabbing a CHILD tag for Christmas! Keep your eyes out in our community stores, as well as the church at Nehalem Bay United Methodist Church, to find a tag so you can adopt a child or family for the holiday season.
