Nehalem Senior Lunches Update
Hello Friends,
Nehalem Senior Lunches continues to move forward, though donations have slowed, making it more challenging to prepare lunches. We’re also experiencing the natural transitions of losing clients—some relocating, others passing away—which makes your support more important than ever.
We would love to see Nehalem Senior Lunches back on track with much-needed funding so we can keep serving our community. One simple way to support us is by coming by to enjoy a $5.00 lunch and some good conversation with others.
We truly appreciate everyone who has stood by us. Your kindness and generosity help us continue this important work.
Thank you for your support,
With gratitude,
Doug Dickey, Nehalem Senior Lunches Chef
Nehalem Senior Lunches are served weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12 pm; seating begins at 11:30am. Meal home delivery is available by calling the office at (503) 368-5612.
Food Pantry Update
Dear Friends and Supporters,

In September we will be gearing up for serving additional clients while the North County Food Bank closes to move. We are most of the way there with reorganizing our space, ordering ahead for supplies and purchasing additional shelving and another cart for holding orders. Every volunteer contributes to the effort and together we make an outstanding team. I am grateful to each volunteer who gives of their time and of their hearts; and I am grateful to Nehalem Bay United Methodists Church for being an accommodating host and for contributions of food, money, time and talents.
Items Needed in the Pantry for September:
Ramen noodles
Juice
Crackers: Saltines, Ritz, Graham
Granola bars
Kitty Litter
Warm regards,
