NEHALEM BAY COMMUNITY SERVICES
Updates by Bobbie Mosher

EXERCISE CLASS - Jane leads a good class and I know there is room for you to join in. They meet twice each week 10 a.m. (Monday & Thursday in our Fellowship Hall). This is a great way to meet your neighbors and to gently move your body, too. Hope to see you soon!

CHILD - Applications for Christmas are coming in and it looks like we will have quite a few again this year. So...when you see the tags listing what the kids need, please pick up one or two and lend Santa a hand. Many of our local businesses have tags for CHILD. Support our local businesses, and pick up a tag while you are out in the community!

We are delighted that Nehalem Bay United Methodist Church graciously offers the Fellowship Hall for the CHILD program of NBCS as we prepare the gift bags for children and families in the area who are in need. Thank you, NBUMC, for the generous use of this space!
We are also very excited to be receiving help from local youth who are in the Future
Business Leaders of America at the high school as well as some local Girl Scouts. Way to care for your community, teens!

NEHALEM SENIOR LUNCHES - Our chefs are looking foward to a busy season as the nights grow longer, and social time decreases. Caring for the elders in our community is a joyful part of NBCS. And you are invited to join us.
Great food and good conversation awaits! Seating starts at 11:30 with lunch served at noon.

CLOTHING BANK - The clothing cannot be displayed outside during foul weather so we moved some things around in the Pantry to make room. It seems to be working out great and the volunteers are pleased.

We can always use warm clothing and right now, something that is waterproof. So...if you are cleaning out and have some things that we might use, please bring them the next time you come to the church.
We also really need additional waterproof items for our homeless and low income families. We gave out the last waterproof slicker and men’s boots the other day. So... please HELP!!!

FOOD PANTRY - Our Pantry gets busier each month. I know that all of you have noticed the increase in your grocery bill and this is hitting some of our families very hard. But, we are here to help and since we are open 4 days a week it makes it possible for many people to make it to our Pantry.
If you are shopping for your own groceries, please consider adding a few things to your cart for the Pantry. We always seem to be low or completely out of several items such as sugars, peanut butter, jam, canned fruit and syrup to name a few.
Please consider picking up a couple things to donate to the Pantry. And, THANK YOU!
